Lesson 9: Time- Stacy Wells offers FREE COACHING for 30 Days

What you do with your time NOW determines how you will spend your time LATER. Time is the only thing that we can not get back. Once the moment is gone, it is lost forever. Yet, we waste many moments, minutes and days on mindless activities that have nothing to do with our life passions or purposes. People live their lives based around the notion that there is always going to be more time to accomplish what needs to be done. Our time is far too precious to have that belief attached to it, and it is all too often taken for granted. What are you currently doing with your time that will produce results for your future? How are you adding value to each minute in your life? Are you throwing away precious moments that could potentially be helpful to you later on down the road? What are some of the ways YOU waste time throughout your day?

Here is a list of just a FEW things that people do during daily life that wastes time…

Watching TV
Surfing the Internet
Sleeping
Gaming: i.e.: Nintendo, Play Station, etc.
Waiting at restaurants for a seat
Waiting in line at the market
Taking Breaks to smoke
Sitting in Dr.’s Offices/ Emergency Rooms
Reading Fantasy Land books
Texting
Casual Phone conversation
Listening to music

There are many things that we could do to add value to our lives while we are waiting. While at the Dr.’s office, or in the line at the market, you could be reading a book, or using that time to visualize your dreams! Or you could sleep only 8 hours instead of 10. There are many ways to make your time more productive. It’s time to get creative because our time is so valuable! Our time is so precious! Our time will pass us by unless we take advantage of it!

Today I want you to make a list throughout the day of every activity you do and how much time you are spending on each. At the end of the day, go through your list and evaluate each activity that you have done and see if it is supportive of your life passions and goals, or if it simply something that is sucking the time away from you. Once you can see what it is that is taking up your time, YOU can make a shift and take it back. I know this exercise sounds time consuming, but trust me you would probably be wasting your time on something else. This will allow you to see on paper if you really do value your time, or if you are like most of the population and take it for granted by not seeing it for the true gift it really is.

If all you have is time, then it’s time to get busy!
