Lesson 27: Learning- Stacy Wells offers FREE Coaching for 30 Days

I want you to think back to a time when you feel as if you failed. Maybe you didn’t do as well in school as you had hoped, or perhaps you failed to perform the necessary tasks at your job to receive a promotion. It could be that you feel you have failed as a parent, or spouse. Despite what you did to succeed, you still failed. In those moments of “failure” you view them as a negative part of your life, when in all actuality; they are your biggest blessings. In fact, your failures could be the most paramount blessing you will ever receive in life. That’s because your sole purpose in life is to learn. You are here to learn about yourself, learn about others, learn jobs, become knowledgeable, learn to have faith, and much more. Your failures allow you to learn in a way that your successes do not.

Remember back to a time that you did something “right” the first time you tried it. It came natural to you. It was simple. It didn’t really take much effort, and so it really wasn’t necessary to try it any other way. What did you learn from that easy situation that created a major impact on your life? Probably not much!

Now, think back to a time when you tried to do something over and over and you just couldn’t do it. You might have become frustrated, confused and discouraged. Perhaps this could have been a marriage that you tried to reconcile and was unable to, or maybe this is a child that no matter what you did, they just didn’t turn out the way you thought they “should”. Whatever the situation, those so called failures of yours are actually your greatest teachers. You take the lessons that you have learned and you begin to apply them in your everyday life.

The failures you have experienced in your life are your supreme teachers. They teach you a new way of being. They are what you take with you into each new situation. They are what you have to look back on as a reference. They have taught you things that no success could have. The so called failures are your greatest ally. Bless them each day, for they are what have molded you into the person you are today.
